Just a &#8220;heads up&#8221; and a shopping list, if you want to join in on the fun&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/find.myrecipes.com\/recipes\/recipefinder.dyn?action=displayRecipe&#038;recipe_id=1842364\"><br \/>\n<strong>Indian Cashew Chicken<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>shopping list:<br \/>\n2\/3 cup cashews<br \/>\n1 single-serving container Greek-style yogurt<br \/>\ngaram masala spice, if you don&#8217;t already have some<br \/>\n(or find out how to make your own <a href=\"http:\/\/www.finecooking.com\/recipes\/samosa-garam-masala.aspx\">here<\/a> or <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ochef.com\/r75.htm\">here<\/a>)<br \/>\n1 small knob fresh ginger<br \/>\n4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs<br \/>\n2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts<br \/>\n2 large onions<br \/>\n1 jar green cardamom pods, if you don&#8217;t already have some<br \/>\n1 bunch fresh cilantro (optional)<\/p>\n<p>staples:<br \/>\n1 small can tomato paste<br \/>\nwhite vinegar<br \/>\nground red pepper<br \/>\n2 garlic cloves<br \/>\ncoriander<br \/>\n1 cinnamon stick<br \/>\n2 cups chicken broth<br \/>\n1 small can tomato puree or sauce<br \/>\nsweet paprika<br \/>\nsalt<br \/>\nhalf-and-half<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/find.myrecipes.com\/recipes\/recipefinder.dyn?action=displayRecipe&#038;recipe_id=522191\"><br \/>\nIndian Bread Pudding with Cardamom Sauce<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>shopping list:<br \/>\n1 small loaf white bread<br \/>\n(I realize this might be a &#8220;staple&#8221; for some folks, but I&#8217;m not one of them&#8230;)<br \/>\n1 can evaporated milk<br \/>\n1 jar of ground cardamom, if you don&#8217;t already have some<br \/>\n1 Tbsp finely chopped pistachios, if you don&#8217;t have some on hand<br \/>\n(I routinely keep them around for Hubby and Boy&#8217;s snack attacks.)<\/p>\n<p>staples:<br \/>\nbutter<br \/>\ncooking spray<br \/>\nsugar<br \/>\neggs<br \/>\nmilk (the recipe calls for whole milk)<\/p>\n<p>Note:  I&#8217;m planning to omit the optional rose-flower water, so I haven&#8217;t included that in the shopping list.
