I buy every conceivable Christmas candy, make a batch of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wilton.com\/recipes\/recipesandprojects\/icing\/royal.cfm\">Royal Icing<\/a> (I add a bit of peppermint extract to make the inevitable finger-licking more fun) and just let the kids have at it!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"IMG_3993.jpg\" src=\"http:\/\/www.feedyourkids.com\/IMG_3993.jpg\" width=\"276\" height=\"320\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"IMG_3995.jpg\" src=\"http:\/\/www.feedyourkids.com\/IMG_3995.jpg\" width=\"209\" height=\"320\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Boy had a friend over, so we let Friend make one, too, and he turned out to be SUPER creative, making icicles to hang from the eaves and using the paper from a Hershey Kiss to form smoke curling out of the chimney &#8211; WOW!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"IMG_3994.jpg\" src=\"http:\/\/www.feedyourkids.com\/IMG_3994.jpg\" width=\"203\" height=\"320\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>OK, so I cheated and bought the pre-made and assembled houses, but we do this every year and the kids always have a blast decorating them.
